Vacation Destination...Again

Once again the Lowcountry is thrust into the spotlight and once again we pride ourselves by being residents of this great place.  Who was voted #1 vacation destination in the US and #4 in the world?  Here's a hint - it's not Hilton Head, Savannah, Myrtle Beach, Asheville or even Paris.  It's us!  It's our wonderful neighbor and friend-Charleston. Here's a quote from the infamous Joe Riley, "To be recognized for the fourth consecutive year is truly a testament to Charleston's vibrant culture, genuine hospitality and wonderful people, who make it such a special place to both live and visit."

We could easily replace Summerville for Charleston into the above quote and it would make sense.  I believe Summerville has something to do with Charleston's intrigue, after all we are the birthplace of Sweet Tea and now the Lowcountry Trolley travels between Charleston and Summerville.  Our histories are intertwined and plus we have our own amazing history right here in Flowertown. Did you know we are the first Railroad town in the US? I learned that this week at the Dorchester Museum where Dr. West presented to a group of Chamber members.  Be proud Summerville residents b/c we are being recognized as pretty cool.
