Dining, Events and Things To Do

Dining and Drinks:

Below you will find links to some, but not all, dining in Summerville.  There are so many great places to meet friends for a bite to eat or grab a drink here you'll find some resources.  Check the "Summerville Story Board" section as I dine at and review one of our fine establishments.  I am not endorsing any of these places and do not receive any money from them for posting here.

Things To Do:

Our small town boasts some great shopping, parks, sports, and cultural events. Click the Links below to get more information.

    • Third Thursdays
      • On the 3rd Thursday of every month downtown Summerville becomes a mecca of people shopping, eating, listening to live music and checking out old cars.  The stores stay open late, restaurants bring their tables outside and people show with a glass of wine in their hand.

    • Coastal Coffee Rosters
      • If you have not been here yet it's one of my favorite go to places to hang out, watch music or just catch up with a friend.  Click HERE to see their calendar of events. They pretty much have something going on every night.
    • Montreaux
      • Looking for some live music in downtown Summerville, check out Montreaux.  Click HERE to see their live music schedule.
    • Accent on Wine

    • http://www.sciway.net/calendar.html - click on the link to see an entire list of SC festivals, both locally and state-wide.
    • Jason's Date Night - Buy your significant other flowers and take a walk through Azalea Park.  Make sure you stop for a picture on the bridge or near the sculptures.  After the walk head downtown (you can walk there from the park) and get a glass of wine and plate of gourmet cheeses at Accent on Wine or a Craft beer at Homegrown.  After great conversation and a relaxing glass of vino walk over to any of the great restaurants downtown.  Make it a memorable evening!
    • For a list of restaurants and other dining go to the Information and Dining page
    • Take a ride on the Lowcountry Loop Trolley (it's picture above). You can hop on and off all day all over the Lowcountry and see some really great sites.  Click HERE for more info.

    • Colonial Dorchester Park - From 1697 until the beginning of the Revolutionary War, the trading town of Dorchester flourished along the Ashley River, inland from colonial Charleston. Today, Colonial Dorchester State Historic Site’s remarkably preserved archaeological remains give visitors a peek into the early history of colonial South Carolina.
    • Summerville Dorchester Historical Museum - If y you have not visited this museum, and the odds are you have not, you are truly missing an experience.  Spend an hour or two visiting our local museum and delve into our history like you were there yourself.  It's at 100 East Doty and it's open during Third Thursdays - http://www.summervilledorchestermuseum.org/index.html
    • Although these -  Check out Magnolia Plantation or Middleton Plantation and spend the whole day getting lost in history or their gardens.
